THE A19 TRUNK ROAD (TONTINE, NORTHALLERTON) (PROHIBITION OF U-TURN AND USE OF GAP IN THE CENTRAL RESERVATION) ORDER 2018
Highways England Company Limited hereby gives notice that it intends to make an Order under sections 1(1), 2(1), and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the A19 Trunk Road at Tontine, in the District of Hambleton. The effect of the Order would be to permanently:
(i) close the gap in the central reservation of the A19 adjacent to Stony Lane Junction, Tontine; and
(ii) prohibit U-Turns in the central reservation from the A19 southbound carriageway to the A19 northbound carriageway adjacent to Mount Grace Priory Junction, Tontine.
A copy of the proposed draft Order, a plan illustrating the proposal and a statement explaining Highways England's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal opening hours at Northallerton Library, 1 Thirsk Road, Northallerton, DL6 1PT and at Stokesley Library, North Road, Stokesley, Middlesbrough, TS9 5AG or may be seen at or obtained by application from the office of the Director, Operations Directorate (Yorkshire & North East), Highways England, 3rd Floor South, Lateral, 8 City Walk, Leeds, LS11 9AT. Any person wishing to object to Highways England's proposal to make this Order should send a written statement of their objection and of the grounds thereof to the Director at the above address. The objection should quote the above title and must be received not later Friday 1st June 2018.
