Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has provided an injury update on Greg Taylor and Daizen Maeda.

The Scotland international missed the match against Hearts after pulling up in training and the Japanese forward limped off in the first-half after colliding with Jambos goalkeeper Zander Clark.

And now the Australian has revealed the status of both men ahead of the Scottish Cup quarter-final at Tynecastle.

He said: “The only issue from the other day is Daizen, who it’s fair to say has improved.

“He didn’t train today, he is still working with the physios but he has improved and I will see how he is tomorrow. It’s fair to say he is 50-50 for it.

"Everyone else is all fine to go."

Postecoglou has also named the club's home matches as the "most special part" of being at the club.

The Australian is yet to lose at a domestic fixture at Parkhead since joining the Hoops in the summer of 2021.

He has also taken maximum points at home in the league so far this season and that run continued with the 3-1 victory over Hearts.

And the Australian has explained why he values matches in front of the Parkhead faithful so much

Speaking to BBC Sportsound, he said: "It is great it coincided with a home game. The most special part of being at this football club is the home games, so I am happy to notch up the hundred at Celtic Park.

"I think the key thing for me is that the club and the team are in a much better place than before I came in and that is what you hope for.

"That is what you work for and that was certainly my ambition when I came into the football club.

"I think we have made a lot of progress over the 100 games and you can see the team has evolved, the players have evolved and I think the club has evolved since then.

"That is probably the most pleasing aspect."
