Former Celtic transfer target Garang Kuol has signed for Newcastle United.
The Australian has put pen to paper on a deal with the Premier League side and will join the club in full from Central Coast Mariners in January 2023.
He was previously linked with the Hoops but has opted to move from the A-League to the English top flight.
Despite the international connection with Ange Postecoglou, the Bhoys were unable to land the highly-rated teenager.
The 18-year-old only made his senior debut last December in the FFA Cup and scored within seven minutes of coming onto the field.
After repeating the feat in his first league match, he then went on to score four goals in his first seven domestic games.
This culminated in him being selected to participate in the 2022 All-Star Game, which saw him feature against Barcelona in front of over 70,000 fans.
Upon joining the Magpies, Kuol said: "It's unreal. As a young boy in Australia, the Premier League is the main thing that everyone watches but nobody actually thinks they'll reach those heights. To be one of those people, to be in the position I am, it's amazing."
