Everything that Celtic defender Carl Starfelt said to the media as he previewed Saturday's Scottish Cup tie away to Alloa Athletic.

How well is your partnership developing with CCV?

I think it is going well. CCV is an easy player to play with and I think we are getting better and better all the time. We have a good connection on and off the pitch. We have good communication and we are doing good right now.

How easy is it to adopt the manager's style of playing out from the back?

When you start to do it, it is a bit different from how most teams want to play. I think that is the biggest challenge but once you get into it, it's all good. You have a lot of opportunities when you get the ball and you have a lot of options to choose between. The manager is very clear on what he wants us to do and that is not a problem.

How encouraged are you by Rangers dropping points and the gap being reduced to four at the top?

I don't pay any attention to it as I am focused on our games and to keep getting our points and then we will see at the end of the season.

There have been a few January additions, what have the new faces done to the atmosphere around the club?

It's very good for the club and the team to get in some reinforcements and from what I have seen so far they will fit in good with our style of playing. They are good players and you get to see that in the game. They are also very nice guys and very humble guys as they will come in and work very hard and we are very happy to have them here.

You touched upon your relationship with CCV, do you want to see that deal being made permanent?

I like to play alongside him and he has done very well at the cub. The rest is not really up to me and we will wait and see.

What is your history in cup competitions in your career so far?

Not too much as it is always tough with the cup. Whatever team you face it is always a one-off game so even playing teams from lower divisions is a tough game. Alloa who we are facing will fight really hard and you need to be really focused every match. That is my biggest experience as it is only one leg and anything can happen.

What do you know about Alloa?

Not too much but we will have a look at them today or tomorrow so I will probably know a little bit more going into the game.

The Alloa players will see it as a major opportunity to cause an upset, how big an upset would this be should Celtic lose this game on Saturday?

We are not thinking about that. We are just thinking that it will be a tough game. It is one leg and anything can happen and we have to go there 100 per cent focused. If we do that and we are at our best then I am sure we will go through.

You have the first trophy in the cabinet does that give you a taste for more and the adulation that comes with winning silverware?

One of the main reasons players come to this club is that they hope to win stuff. We won our first trophy and we are hungry for more. It's the best feeling to win games and to win trophies. We will do our best to keep doing that.

Do you feel refreshed coming back after the break and do you think you will hit the ground running after an impressive performance against Hibs and a few months of settling into Scottish football?

I feel that I am in good shape and I will try to build on this performance in every game. The coach is very clear on what he wants and the team is playing very well right now. We have a lot of confidence in the team and the players are getting into the style of play more and more and I am confident we can keep going like that.

How much did the break help the squad because you played with great intensity on Monday night?

We played with this intensity many times before as well especially at home with the crowd with us. It is not the first game that we have looked sharp in and played with a lot of intensity. That's the way we want to play as a team and it was good also as we got some injured players back after the break and that helps. The new players came in and did very well. We are in a good place but we want to keep building on that.

How have you found the first six months trying to settle into life in Glasgow?

I like it a lot. I like the life on the pitch and being at Celtic and I am very happy. All the players enjoy coming to the training ground so much and playing games as well as playing in front of the fans and that atmosphere. I like the fact that we are competing at the top of the league and for trophies. It is what every player wants. Outside of the pitch, I enjoy the city and I am enjoying everything right now.
