CELTIC look as if they will be dipping into the transfer market again after agreeing on a deal to sign MK Dons midfielder Matt O'Riley.

O'Riley would become Ange Postecoglou's fifth signing of the January window as Celtic continue their new recruitment drive.

Despite a late bid to hijack the move by Championship outfit West Bromwich Albion it looks as though O'Riley will put the finishing touches on a £1.5 million switch to Glasgow.

The highly-rated English born midfielder also qualifies to play for Demark and Norway and was attracting interest from Swansea, Blackburn Rovers, Italian side Venezia and Belgian top-flight side Anderlecht.

O'Riley is described as a ball-carrying midfielder with an eye for goal and an assist and has scored seven goals and set up five this season for MK Dons.

Meanwhile, Celtic face Alloa in the Scottish Cup at the Indodrill Stadium on Saturday as they embark on the road to Hampden in their bid to wrestle the trophy from holders St Johnstone.

Will Ange field a strong team in Clackmannanshire or will he be tempted to throw in the fringe players?
