DANISH chiefs have confirmed that FC Midtjylland are set to appoint a foreign manager.
It comes amid strong links that they're keen on Celtic No.2 John Kennedy.
It emerged earlier this week that the Hoops coach is a strong contender for the gig.
Svend Graversen, the club's sporting director, has now confirmed that foreign managers make up the majority of their shortlist.
He told a Danish TV station that foreign bosses outweigh the homegrown candidates on their list.
Henrik Jenson is in temporary charge of the side.
Graversen said: “We are not going to rush. It takes the time it takes.
“You don’t just have one standing ready, and then you press the button and take him in.
“We have put it into process and we are working with a company that will help us find the right one.
“We are 100 per cent satisfied with the set-up we have. We’ve given ourselves time and peace to find the right process, and that’s what it’s about.
“We have to find the person who can step in and take over the team, and we must not be limited by time.”
