CHRIS SUTTON reckons Celtic were comfortable as the derby clash with Rangers finished 1-1.
Both teams were watseful in front of goal, but it was an entertaining game at Parkhead.
Jota gave Ange Postecoglou's men the lead after 20-minutes. Daizen Maeda fired a dangerous ball across the face of goal and the Portuguese winger beat Borna Barisic to the ball to score.
The Hoops then had the better of the remainder of the first-half, as they pressed up on the Rangers defence well.
However, after the break, Rangers were the better team and will feel unfortunate that they could not go on to win all three points.
Fashion Sakala slammed home the equaliser as the Zambian's powerful strike beat Joe Hart at his near post.
Sakala was two further golden chances to get the win, with Hart then also producing a fine save from point-blank range to deny Scott Arfield in the closing stages.
So while it wasn't the result Celtic wanted, they remain well on course to secure the Premiership title in the coming weeks, with just three games left.
And despite a fairly flat second-half showing from Celtic, Sutton praised his former side.
He tweeted: "Great game. Celtic comfortable draw in the end. I need a lie down. One step closer."
