MOTHERWELL have announced the signing of Celtic youngster Liam Shaw on loan.
The versatile player, who plays both in defence and midfield, has joined Graham Alexander's side until the end of the season.
Shaw joined Celtic in the summer after agreeing a move from Sheffield Wednesday.
But the 20-year-old wasn't able to nail down a position in the Celtic first-team and has decided to head out for a temporary spell in Lanarkshire.
He made his debut in the Europa League win over Real Betis in December before a substitute appearance against St Mirren later that month.
But he's now aiming to cement a position in Alexander's side who currently sit fourth in the Scottish Premiership table.
Graham Alexander told the club website: “We’re very happy to bring Liam into the club on loan until the summer.
“He comes into a strong group of players and his addition improves that again.
“He’s motivated and eager to play football and we look forward to working with him.”
