CELTIC are reportedly set to complete a triple swoop for J League talents.

Reports in Japan suggest Ange Postecoglou is set 'to win' Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Yosuke Ideguchi.

Japanese outlet Kyodo News report that the trio are set to progress in talks with Celtic with their clubs reportedly willing to negotiate.

Maeda has been linked with a move to Parkhead for months, he is currently with Postecoglou's former club Yokohama F Marinos.

The forward, clocked as the fastest player in the J League, was joint top scorer in his league netting 22 times domestically.

Celtic boss Postecoglou has already shown his shrewd business in the Japanese market with Kyogo Furuhashi proving to be a top signing since making the switch to Glasgow.

And that's another reason for reports in Japan touting Celtic for an "unusual" triple swoop.

While Maeda is a signing which could bolster options in attack, Hatate could be a useful addition in the full-back position.

The 24-year-old is out of contract with J-League side Kawasaki Frontale in January and was previously tipped to become Postecoglou's first signing of the window.

Josip Juranovic is currently first-choice at left-back for Celtic with Greg Taylor out injured. The Croatian right-back has been deployed in the position with Anthony Ralston on the opposite flank.

But Postecoglou could add to his left-back options with Hatate reportedly close to agreeing a move to Parkhead.

Gamba Osaka central midfielder Ideguchi is the third player tipped to make a switch to Celtic after the conclusion of the Japanese league season.

And Kyodo report his club will respect the wishes of the player and negotiate "positively" with Celtic over a deal next month.

Ideguchi was an integral player for Gamba playing 29 matches for the club, and he's no stranger to the UK having signed for Leeds in 2018.

He didn't make any appearances for the English club however, instead being farmed out on loan to Cultural Leonesa and Greuther Furth.
