Brendan Rodgers remains the favourite to take over the vacant managers job at Celtic.

This is according to The Sun which claims the Hoops are set to table a bumper offer to the Northern Irishman for him to return as boss.

It may also pave the way for the Scottish Premiership champions to offer Scott Brown a reunion with the ex-Leicester City manager.

Rodgers is the 1/4 bookies favourite and outright frontrunner to replace Ange Postecoglou at Parkhead after the Aussie departed for Tottenham Hotspur.

Current assistant John Kennedy is still mulling over a possible switch to join Postecoglou at Spurs and that could all hinge on whether Celtic approach Fleetwood Town to bring Brown back.
