Joe Hart: The Celtic number one was restored to the starting side in place of Scott Bain after the 4-2 defeat by Hibs in midweek. It was another one of those afternoons where the former England shot stopper was a virtual spectator. 7

Alistair Johnston: It was a welcome return from injury to the first team fold for the Canadian who is already a cult hero among the faithful. He played an exquisite pass to Kyogo inside 30 seconds, but the striker pulled his effort wide of the target. He linked well with Abada, and played like a right winger himself at times and it was as if he had never been away. He also offered an extra layer of protection to the central back line. He really is a joy to watch at times and is every inch a baller but walked off the field injured just after the hour mark. 8

Carl Starfelt: "We know what a great day this can be. To be able to celebrate the trophy with the fans, but we also need to put in the work first and really entertain them. We need to work really hard to shift momentum and give ourselves enjoyment in the last game of the league season as we build to the cup final." The Swede's own words in the pre-match press conference. He clumsily cleaned out Marley Watkins early on but received a lecture. He was unlucky not to open the scoring when he powered in a header that was excellently saved by Kelle Roos but battered in a header from O'Riley's corner with 12 minutes to go to make it 3-0. 8

Tomoki Iwata: He replaced his compatriot Yuki Kobayashi in central defence as his manager gave him the nod to partner Starfelt. He was never really tested and strolled through the full 90 minutes with relative ease. 7

Greg Taylor: He really is a wonderfully talented and intelligent player who can pick killer passes at will, especially when he drifts into the midfield area. It was the inverted full-back who took up a superb position some 25 yards from goal and then proceeded to pick out Kyogo with a sumptuous assist as he made it 1-0. 8

Callum McGregor: "So when we get up on that podium and lift the trophy then it’s been a huge collective effort from all of the players, the staff, everybody at the club and I’m just fortunate that I’m the one that gets to lift it first." The words of the Celtic skipper who has amassed 19 trophies - four as captain - in his career so far. He is a club legend and was part of the three-man passing move that led to Kyogo scoring the opener with a lovely threaded pass through the lines to Taylor who fed the attacker, and you know the rest. It was his effort that was fumbled by Roos that gifted Kyogo Furuhashi a second. 8

Reo Hatate: What a few days it has been for the Japanese midfielder as he enjoyed an international recall to the Samurai Blue from the wilderness. He buzzed around the midfield and he played his way into the occasion after a few stray passes in the opening exchanges. He is getting there in terms of rediscovering his form and trundled an effort well wide but enjoyed the day more than the last few outings. 7

Matt O'Riley: Alongside McGregor and Hatate he strolled around the engine room in a confident manner and linked the play well enough. He can still deliver a decent set piece and clipped the outside of the post. He has appeared in all 38 matches this season and did enough to cement his place in the Scottish Cup final starting line up next Saturday against Inverness. 7

Liel Abada: The Israeli winger produced a lung-busting 60-yard run early on and skinned Jonny Hayes with some fleet-footedness and he certainly looked in the mood at that point. He was replaced by James Forrest at the break. 5

Kyogo Furuhashi: What a way to celebrate your international recall. The Japanese striker had amassed 25 league goals from 40 shots at goal which is an incredible statistic. He should have scored goal 32 for the campaign within 30 seconds but uncharacteristically choked a poor effort into the turf. He guided a header over the top too. It was no surprise when he got the party started when he checked and hammered in a cracker into the top corner with his left foot. "What a player, what a finisher", said Sky Sports commentator Ian Crocker. He is not wrong, you know. He was also on hand to prod home after following up McGregor's spilled strike by Roos. Make that 27 league goals and 33 for the season and counting as he overtook Moussa Dembele's total from 2016-17. He took a sore one from Roos shortly after the break and sadly limped off the field. 9

Jota: He fired a low drive wide inside the opening 10 minutes and was kept relatively quiet by the Reds defence and almost scored a spectacular hook shot to make it 3-0 which would have been fitting for Trophy Presentation day. He was denied a goal to make it three when he stole into net but he was in an offside position. He crossed perfectly for Oh to net a fourth goal and hit the bar with a late free-kick. 7

Substitutes:

James Forrest (Abada 46): The 21-times trophy winner was given the honour of being bestowed a testimonial match this week and was handed a 45-minute run-out in this one when he replaced Abada at the interval. 4

Oh Hyeon-gyu (Kyogo 50): The South Korean attacker came on after Kyogo was injured and was handed another chance to enhance his striking reputation. He made it four with a cracking header that he buried into the top corner from Jota's cross from the left and followed up from Jota's free-kick that hit the crossbar. 6

Anthony Ralston (Johnston 64): Came on for the injured Johnston with 25 minutes to go after he took a knock and left the field more as a precaution than anything else ahead of the cup final next weekend. 3

David Turnbull (O'Riley 79): The Scots midfielder was handed a 10-minute cameo.

Ben Summers (Hatate 80): The youngster came on for Hatate in the closing stages.

Substitutes not used: Benjamin Siegrist, Alexandro Bernabei, Stephen Welsh, Rocco Vata.
