Joe Hart: The Celtic number one needed treatment early on when he took a sore one on the face from the on-rushing Steven Fletcher after expertly palming away Glenn Middleton's early bouncing drive. He chested one behind for a United corner-kick soon after but recovered his composure and was rarely troubled after that. 8

Josip Juranovic: Croatian full-back Juranovic was full of running and energy and got forward to support the wide players at all times. He cracked home a superb low drive from the edge of the box as Celtic made it six on 55 minutes. 8

Cameron Carter-Vickers: Culturally rugged as a defender, Carter-Vickers can pass with aplomb and he can mix it up when he has to as he did when Steven Fletcher was passed off to him. Qatar 2022 is most certainly calling with the US national team at this rate. Decent showings in the games that matter will only cement the fact that he has booked his seat on the plane. 8

Carl Starfelt: Swedish defender Starfelt replaced the in-form Moritz Jenz at the back of the pack. There was no quarter or asked or given in a terrific duel with Steven Fletcher although he put Juranovic under real pressure with a rare slack pass and Middleton rattled an effort wide of the target. That apart he was solid and slotted in as if he had never been away - even grabbing goal number nine with nine minutes left on the clock to double his tally for the club. 8

Greg Taylor: The Hoops man of the moment was reduced to a supporting role in this one as his team-mates took centre stage this time. That said, the Scotland international still put in a decent performance by his high standards. 8

Callum McGregor: Celtic's skipper just makes football look so simple. He is the go-to man in the team and links the play from middle to front effortlessly. The Scotland midfielder is scaling new heights all the time with every passing game while making everything tick along so smoothly in the engine room. 8

Matt O'Riley: Silky midfielder O'Riley saw an early effort saved by Carljohan Eriksson. He was full of deft one and two touches and even timed a sliding challenge on Middleton in the box to perfection after an uncharacteristic moment of slackness. His aim was just slightly off with a couple of curled attempts at goal but he showed quick thinking to nick the ball twice and brilliantly shunted it to Kyogo for the second. He also set up Jota for his tap-in to make it 4-0 with an inviting fizzed ball across the face of goal and then teed up Abada for the fifth. 9

Celtic Way:

Reo Hatate: The playmaker got the nod over David Turnbull after an impressive cameo against Hearts last weekend and also saw a first-half drive beaten away by Eriksson in the United goal after three attempted shots. He was another who was full of positive running and set up Abada for the seventh. 7

Liel Abada: A rare place in the starting XI at the expense of Daizen Maeda beckoned for the Israeli winger. He started on the right flank and he caused real problems for the hosts. It was his superb pass to Jota that brought about the opening goal while he warmed the hands of Eriksson with a stinging drive when the square ball might have been the better option. He made no mistake when he set up Kyogo for his hat-trick after the United defence had been split asunder by O'Riley. He then proceeded to get on the scoresheet himself by grabbing a hat-trick of his own to claim his first treble for the club. 8

Jota: Deployed on the left wing from the off, Jota's exquisite one-touch low cross following Abada's sublime pass opened it all up for Kyogo who did the rest to open the scoring. He was in the right place at the right time to slot home number four seconds before the half-time whistle blew while he generally teased and tormented the Dundee United defence at will. 9

Kyogo Furuhashi: Celtic's goalscoring talisman was looking to make it four goals in four matches and duly did after a fine three-man move involving Abada and Jota. The lethal striker doesn't miss those. He produced an absolute peach of a strike from 25 yards to make it 2-0 and then completed his hat-trick just before the interval after prodding home Abada's centre. His movement and energy are a joy to watch and any aspiring striker should really behold an attacking genius at work. 9
