The start to the domestic season can't come quick enough for the Celtic supporters.

Is it finally time for Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou to have a conversation about strikers Kyogo and Giorgos Giakoumakis?

Can the Aussie find a way to somehow shoehorn both men into his starting lineup?

Do the pair have to constantly be rotated?

Postecoglou has never really deviated from his tried and tested 4-3-3 system and doesn't traditionally favour a front pairing.

However Celtic fans will remember only too well the halcyon days of Henrik Larsson and Chris Sutton under Martin O'Neill.

Talismanic Japanese hitman Kyogo has been well established as Postecoglou's favoured attacker but Giakoumakis's irresistible form for both club and country is posing the Celtic manager a real dilemma ahead of the start of the new campaign.

Will Postecoglou ever be tempted to play both strikers together as a partnership?

It remains a tantalising prospect.

Elsewhere Matt O'Riley notched his first goal for Denmark under-21s in a 3-2 win over Turkey.

The Celtic midfielder is desperate to fulfil his dream of representing his country at the World Cup finals in Qatar 2022 later this year.

The £1.5 million capture from MK Dons is going about his business in the right manner.

Meanwhile, Celtic's Scotland quartet of Callum McGregor, Greg Taylor, Anthony Ralston and David Turnbull brought the curtain down on their respective campaigns by seeing game time during Steve Clark's side 4-1 over Armenia in the Nations League.

All four will now head off for a well-earned rest especially captain fantastic McGregor who deserves a break more than most.
