Celtic wasted no time in doing some early transfer business when it emerged over the weekend that Ange Postecoglou had got his man in the shape of Cameron Carter-Vickers.

The USA international defender signed a four-year deal at Paradise which will see last season's Scottish Premiership and League cup winner compete in this season's Champions League group stages proper.

It is a huge coup for the Aussie who also looks set to add former Leeds United and Liverpool star Harry Kewell to his backroom staff as first-team coach.

The club remain in discussions with Portuguese winger Jota but hopes to announce his permanent capture sooner rather than later.

Celtic don't seem to be resting on their laurels either after seeing an initial bid for Lanus left-back Alexandro Bernabei rejected.

The Hoops also appear to be locked in a straight fight with Turkish side Fenerbahce to seal a deal for 22-year-old Brazilian defensive midfielder Vinicius Souza from Belgian outfit Lommel SK.
