Highly-rated Celtic midfielder Sean McArdle has completed a loan move to Scottish Championship side Partick Thistle until the end of the 2025/26 season.
The 18-year-old joins fellow Celtic B players Ben McPherson and Josh Clark at the Firhill side, whose head coach is former ex-Hoops defender Mark Wilson.
Having achieved his senior debut vs Hibernian at home last season under Brendan Rodgers, McArdle has made two appearances so far for his boyhood club, including an impressive cameo showing against Aberdeen at Pittodrie in May.

Speaking after the confirmation of his side's latest acquisition to club media , his new coach Wilson said of McArdle: "We’re delighted to add Sean to our squad for this season. He’s a very talented young midfielder who has been playing regular Lowland League football for a couple of seasons now.
“He’s calm and composed on the ball and has that creativity in possession to go and create goals, either by scoring himself or by setting up his teammates.

“We’ve already had Josh Clarke and Ben McPherson come in on loan from Celtic and make a real impact, and I’m confident Sean can do similar.”
Prior to his move to Partick Thistle, he had been an ever-present member of Stephen McManus' Celtic B in the Lowland League.
The Scottish Championship has a number of Celtic connections, including ex-players being managers at clubs such as Dunfermline (Neil Lennon), Raith Rovers (Barry Robson), Ayr United (Scott Brown), as well as Wilson's role at Partick Thistle.
In the case of Ayr, they have a co-operation agreement with the Premiership champions, which has seen Jude Bonnar and Kyle Ure join The Honest Men in recent months.
