Forgotten Celtic defender Yuki Kobayashi could leave the club this month.

It's claimed the centre-back, 23, has at least two clubs interested in a transfer swoop.

The Scottish Sun reports MLS duo FC Dallas and Real Salt Lake feature as interested suitors.

Kobayashi had signed a five-year deal when he arrived at Celtic from Vissel Kobe.

However, he has been unable to break into the first-team for Celtic during his time in Glasgow.

This season, Kobayashi hasn't played a single minute of competitive football for Celtic.

And speculation over a transfer exit - or loan switch - has been increasing throughout the window.

One player Brendan Rodgers won't allow to leave this month, though, is Liel Abada.

Transfer rumours have surrounded the winger this month, however, Rodgers insists he is not a player who will be sold in January.

He explained: “There’s nothing on Liel.

“I know there has been stories generated for whatever reason around him, probably trying to second guess what has been going on with Liel.

“It’s very, very simple. Liel was out injured for a long period of time, he has gone back in, and again he is a player I am excited to work with, that I can improve.

“He’s a player that I spoke to very early on, and he comes to me and we speak, and his focus is very much on being here at Celtic and developing.

“Now, it’s natural with the difficulties that are happening in his homeland, you can’t ignore that. But he’s not someone that we want to sell."
