Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has spoken about the challenges he faces on a game-by-game basis regarding squad management.

Rodgers was in conversation with the press this afternoon and spoke about the task of keeping his squad of players happy, especially with regard to the hectic run of three games in the space of a week.

He made just one change at the weekend, replacing the injured Reo Hatate with Paulo Bernardo in the midfield. Otherwise, it was the same team that took on Atletico Madrid just three days prior. Rodgers said: "The team we put out is always to find the result.

"You can change the whole team but you lose fluidity. I think the guys will be recovered and we will go again on Wednesday. We have had a tough run of fixtures and there are never going to be wholesale changes and that's the reality but what we always expect is for the team to be full of speed and tempo.

"If we drop off those levels somewhere around the 60 to 65 minute mark we can make changes to maintain that and we just didn't do that from the off at the weekend."
