Celtic forward Kyogo Furuhashi has revealed he is targeting 100 goals for the club.

The Japan international netted for the 60th time for the Scottish champions during the 4-1 over Hearts and he is already looking ahead to what else he can achieve.

And joining the hundred club at Parkhead is one of his aims. Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "The goal came about through team effort so I want to get more goals.

"My next goal will be 70 and I will hopefully reach 100 goals. We had some difficult moments and also we conceded a goal but overall we did well and it was good to get a result in that way."

Meanwhile, Brendan Rodgers has likened his current Celtic squad to his invincibles in terms of quality.

And the 50-year-old feels his current team have plenty of attributes similar to that of the squad that went unbeaten domestically during the 2016/17 campaign.

Speaking to BBC Radio Scotland, he said: “I hear lots of talk about how the levels are different and everything else, but I do not see that.

“People say it is a stronger league now but when I was here the first time Aberdeen were a good team, hearts were competitive, and Steve Clarke did very good with Kilmarnock. It is a different timeline.”

Rodgers also opened up on the “little adaptions” he has made to the team tactically since Ange Postecoglou’s departure.

The Northern Irishman revealed a change in the full-back areas among other tactical tweaks.

When asked about what changes he has made to the team, he responded: “Not much, I think there is just an understanding, when you are lower on the pitch, where you want the full-backs to be rather than them always being on the inside.

“They offer support on the outside and are always springing throughout the pitch. My philosophy has always been, without the technical jargon, about closing the space when you do not have the ball and create space when you have the ball and always have one man more in the middle of the pitch.

“When I was here the first time, we played a 3-4-3 and this team has a good base for me to make little adaptions to it but either way Ange did a great job here and this team will develop.”
