Scott Bain: The Celtic goalkeeper made his return to the starting line-up after an absence of 18 months for his first appearance of the season. He was called into action inside 30 seconds when he dived down low to save well from Hibs attacker Youan. He stopped a certain goal with a superb point-blank save from Kevin Nisbet's header. He landed awkwardly on his knee attempting to keep Bernabei's back pass in play but recovered after a bout of treatment. He saved well from Nisbet and Youan after the break but was well beaten by Youan for the equaliser and Nisbet's penalty but made an embarrassing mistake for the goal that made it 3-2 to the hosts as he allowed the ball to slip through his hands. He also chucked the fourth goal in the net as well as he had a disappointing end to the evening. 5

Anthony Ralston: There is no shortage of graft when it comes to Ralston, and he is a whole-hearted player of that, there is no doubt. However, he needlessly gave away the spot-kick for Hibs after some chronic defending when he dragged his marker down and Nisbet duly scored to make it 2-2. It's safe to say he will be the second fiddle to Alistair Johnston when the Canadian is passed fit and healthy once again. 5

Carl Starfelt: In the absence of the influential Cameron Carter-Vickers the Swede normally steps up to the plate by being the reassuring and commanding presence at the back of the pack. He got his head to most things that came his way aerially, but he was in a contest all right with the constant attacking threat of Youan and Nisbet. 5

Yuki Kobayashi: The natural left-sided centre-back missed out against St Mirren after a poor display at Ibrox but was restored to the defence for this outing. It was another chance for the Japanese stopper to impress ahead of the Scottish Cup final against Inverness. He was easily robbed by Jake Doyle-Hayes in the move that led to Nisbet almost opening the scoring. Having initially looked the part in his early outings he seems at this moment in time to be a little too lightweight and still adjusting to the rough and tumble of Scottish football. He could have done more to prevent the cross that led to Youan's leveller. 4

Alexandro Bernabei: The Argentine was another player who did not exactly cover himself in glory at Ibrox in the 3-0 derby defeat but nevertheless, he was given another first-team crack by the Aussie. It was his defence-splitting pass that released Maeda whose cutback saw McGregor upended for the spot-kick. It was the full-back who slipped the ball to Oh who fired Celtic in front again after 58 minutes. However, he also struggled at the back. 5

Callum McGregor: The Celtic skipper was wiped out by Lewis Stevenson for the foul that led to the penalty award in the first-half flashpoint, but referee Kevin Clancy had no hesitation in pointing to the spot. He was involved in the move which led to Celtic regaining the lead as he drove his side forward. 6

Tomoki Iwata: He was deployed as centre-back at the weekend but he reverted to the midfield in place of Matt O'Riley. He was given an hour run out and put in a performance that was nothing to write home about before being replaced by the Dane in the engine room. 5

Reo Hatate: He is slowly but surely regaining his fitness but is still well short of early season form which made him a Scottish Player of the Year contender. The Japanese midfielder expertly rolled home from 12 yards to claim the opening goal as he sent Marshall the wrong way. 5

Celtic Way: Celtic Way Specia lOffer

Liel Abada: He was part of a three man change in the attack as he replaced Jota. The Israeli fired in a high drive that David Marshall had to tip over the top. He somehow contrived to slash the ball well wide of target after Marshall had parried Oh's shot right into his path. This is a game that he should be grabbing by the scruff of the neck but it too content to play on the periphery at times. 4

Oh Hyeon-gyu: The South Korea international was handed the striker's jersey ahead of the Scottish Premiership player of the year Kyogo Furuhashi to once again show what he had to offer. He scooped an early effort over before crashing a glancing header off the crossbar following Bernabei's cross from the left. He then tested Marshall with an angled drive. He certainly looked in the mood for goals and he duly got his reward after being fed by Bernabei as he made it 2-1. 6

Sead Haksabanovic: The Montenegrin lasted just 22 minutes of this encounter before hobbling off injured to be replaced by Daizen Maeda. 2

Substitutes:

Daizen Maeda (Haksabanovic, 22) It was a return to the ground where the Japanese wide man had fired in a goal-of-the-season contender and although he started on the bench he was soon called upon when Haksabanovic pulled up after 22 minutes. His first involvement was to sprint clear of the Hibs defence but his low cross into the box lacked accuracy and eluded Abada at the back post. His next cross was on the money as McGregor was fouled by Lewis Stevenson and he still had time to pick up a yellow card and blotted his copybook by being sent off for a second bookable and persistent fouling on 67 minutes.

James Forrest (Abada, 64): The evergreen wide man was given the last 25 minutes to make an impact but featured very little. 3

Matt O'Riley (Iwata, 65): Came on for Iwata with 25 minutes left on the clock. It ended up being more of a rearguard action after Hatate's dismissal. 3

David Turnbull (Hatate, 65): The lesser spotted Turnbull was handed a 25-minute run out as he replaced Hatate but like all his fellow substitute found the going tough as the visitors were reduced to ten men after Hatate's ordering off. 3

Kyogo Furuhashi (Oh Hyeon-gyu, 81): The 31-goal Japanese talisman was thrown on for the last 10 to see if he could salvage a draw.

Substitutes not used: Joe Hart, Greg Taylor, Jota, Stephen Welsh.
