Alexandro Bernabei opened his Celtic goalscoring account in superb fashion on Sunday - by smashing home a late pearler against Ross County.

The Argentinian left-back was a 65th-minute introduction when Greg Taylor was forced off with a knee injury.

He stepped onto a pass from Jota - who had earlier given Celtic the lead from the penalty spot - before unleashing a rocket into the top left corner past helpless Staggies keeper Ross Laidlaw.

Meanwhile, Taylor is not the only injury concern facing Postecoglou. Neither Reo Hatate nor Aaron Mooy made the matchday squad while Anthony Ralston and Liel Abada are also facing a spell on the sidelines.

The Hoops manager is confident midfielders Hatate and Mooy will be available again soon with both rated 'close' to making the Dingwall contingent.

"Hopefully next week," Postecoglou told Sky Sports when asked if Hatate would be back soon. "Him and Aaron were close but not quite ready. We've got a full week after this game and if everything goes well he should be available."

In Hatate's usual midfield berth came January signing Tomoki Iwata for his first Celtic start - a decision Postecoglou insists was a natural one to take.

"The hunger's there," he said of Iwata. "He's training really well, he knows what responsibilities he has out there and he's a footballer I know really well."
