Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has addressed Daizen Maeda's injury status after his early substitution in the 3-1 Premiership victory over Hearts.

The Japan international scored the equaliser against the Jambos but was then forced off around the half-hour mark.

Kyogo Furuhashi struck on the hour mark to put the champions ahead before Sead Haksabanovic smashed in a third late on. The result ensures the Hoops stay nine points clear of Rangers at the summit.

Postecoglou referenced Maeda's withdrawal in his post-match comments while also touching on the status of left-back Greg Taylor, who missed the match entirely.

Postecoglou told Celtic TV: "Greg should be fine. No problem, he probably could've played tonight at a stretch but we just thought we'd be a bit cautious there.

"With Daizen it looks like a knock. We'll just have to assess it - it's obviously a short turnaround so we'll just have to assess how he is."

Alexandro Bernabei was drafted in at left-back in Taylor's stead while Anthony Ralston was handed his first start since before Christmas.

Liel Abada - fresh from a player-of-the-match display against St Mirren at the weekend - was preferred to Jota at right wing while Matt O'Riley replaced Reo Hatate in midfield.

Hearts had taken the lead through Josh Ginnelly prior to Celtic's comeback.
