Everything that Cameron Carter-Vickers said to the media after Celtic's 2-1 League Cup final success over Rangers at Hampden Park...

Was there a determination to hold out after Rangers had their 15-minute spell and made it 2-1?

I was just saying that it was a cup final and you always expect the game to get really open at the end especially if one team is losing We were ready for that but we can dig deep as a team and we managed to see it out.

How do you feel in terms of going into these big games and you keep winning them?

We work hard throughout the week since the manager has been here in order to prepare ourselves for big games. For us, it is just about staying focused on how we want to play and to try and perform to our level and if we do that we can get the result.

That block in the first half was crucial, wasn't it as you saved a certain goal and it is an important moment isn't it?

Yes. I haven't seen it back yet. I think being a defender first and foremost my focus is on trying to keep them out and when I am called upon I do the best I can.

Did you think you had scored an own goal when you made that challenge?

No. I always knew it was going wide.

It is the first trophy of a possible three how do you feel about that?

It is good to get this win in this cup. We don't really think too far ahead as we just try and focus on the next game and our performance.

Celtic Way:

It must give you a huge lift knowing that you have the first one in the bag, doesn't it?

It is always a good confidence boost when you win stuff. We are fully aware that this competition is done now and there are two more trophies up for grabs.

What about Kyogo is there nothing that he can't do?

He (Kyogo) is always in the right spot at the right time and he seems to score so many tap-ins like that but it's something that he works on and it is something that he has which is quite special.

When you are watching him do you not marvel at what he does?

I train against him every day and I am fully aware of his movement and how clever he can be and the runs he makes. It is good to play with players like that.

Is he a protected species at training are you not allowed to kick him?

We are allowed to kick him the problem is that we can't get near him.

The team has been relentless so far is that going to be the way you want to finish the business end of the season?

For us, we just focus not so much on the games but on our performance and try and improve that. If we win 3-0 or 4-0 or draw a game we just hope that there is an improvement in our performance from the last game and that's how we go about our business.
