Celtic starlet Bruno Davidson has signed a contract extension with the club.

The Hoops youngster, who has featured for the B team this season, has committed his future to the Parkhead side until 2025.

He has played 27 times for Stephen McManus and Darren O'Dea's side so far during the 2022-23 campaign clocking up minutes in the Lowland League, UEFA Youth League and Challenge Cup.

The 18-year-old has five goals and six assists in all competitions this season.

Speaking to the club's official website, Davidson said: “I’m delighted to extend my stay here. I definitely feel like it’s the right place to continue my development and grow as a player.

"I’m ready to continue working as hard as I have been and hopefully kick-on even more."

Meanwhile, Michael Stewart is adamant that Celtic are "streets ahead" of every other team in Scotland.

The former Hibs and Hearts midfielder insists it will take something "extra special" to stop the Hoops from lifting the league title this term.

The pundit heaped praise on Ange Postecoglou's team after they strolled to a comfortable victory over St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park.

He told BBC's Sportscene: "You say that it will take something special to stop them and that's exactly it. It needs to be something special to stop Celtic on any one day but also when you extrapolate that across a full season, it would have to be something extra special to be able to stop this Celtic side.

"For every other club in the country, that's the benchmark they need to try and attain. At the moment, Celtic are streets ahead of everybody else."
