Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has confirmed the Scottish champions will remain "agile" in the transfer market and he has also given an update on the status of Giorgos Giakoumakis.

The Parkhead side have signed four players during the January transfer window so far.

Yuki Kobayashi, Alistair Johnston, Tomoki Iwata and Oh Hyeon-gyu have all put pen to paper on long-term deals with the Hoops.

However, the Australian refused to rule out the possibility of another player coming in before the deadline.

When asked if his January business was finished, he told Sky Sports: "Well, I could say yes and make it a boring few days for everyone but I'll just say we'll continue to be agile and see what happens."

The 57-year-old also provided more insight into the transfer situation surrounding Giakoumakis.

He has been linked with both Uwara Red Diamonds in Japan and MLS side Atlanta United during recent weeks.

Postecoglou maintained the player is still a part of his plans.

He continued: "There is still a bit of speculation around him; nothing has been confirmed.

"With a few days left in the window we will see what happens with Giako [Giakoumakis]. He's still part of us at the moment but there's still a fair bit going on around in the background.

"Hopefully that all gets resolved in the next few days."

The arrival of Hyeon-gyu at Parkhead has further speculation that the Greece international could be departing the east end of Glasgow.

And Postecoglou described his delight at landing the South Korean on a five-year deal.

"We are delighted to bring Oh to Celtic. He is a young, talented striker with great attributes and someone who is ready to take the next stage in his career – a player who is hungry, eager to develop and to achieve success.

“I have watched Oh for some time and he is the striker I really wanted as I think he will be a great fit in our squad.

“Really importantly, I know that he had his heart set on joining us too and that his own perseverance has been crucial in making this deal happen, so his determination to join Celtic has been very clear.

“We are really pleased to welcome him to the club and look forward to working with him and settling him into our squad.”
