Celtic enjoy an impressive record against Premiership rivals St Johnstone.

The Hoops are on a seven-game winning streak against the Perth side with an aggregate score of 21-3 in those matches.

They are unbeaten against them in all competitions since May 2016 and 13 unbeaten at Parkhead against Saints since March 2015.

The scoring in the latest meeting between the sides looked to have started early when Kyogo Furuhashi lurked at the back post and headed towards Remi Matthews goal.

The keeper got a hand to the ball, however, and despite Kyogo's protests referee Kevin Clancy said the ball had not crossed the line.

You can watch footage of the effort below:

It did not take the Japan international long to get his name on the scoresheet regardless, with a cute near-post finish from Matt O'Riley's low cross making it 2-0 to the Hoops after Reo Hatate had put them ahead.

Before the game, Ange Postecoglou had urged his players to make sure they were taking up the correct positions in and around the box after several chances went begging against Livingston in midweek.

He said: "We just didn't have enough numbers in the box," Postecoglou said after the Livi win. "We know we're getting into those areas, we know the way the balls coming and you've have got to work hard to get in there and people just weren't working hard enough to get into those areas.

"There are some really good opportunities that we missed to score goals. So that's something we need to keep working on."
