BEN DOAK is reportedly being eyed for a loan move to Nottingham Forest.

The former Celtic kid made a move to Anfield in the summer in a £600,000 deal.

And he has gone on to impress at the Premier League giants with a string of stunning UEFA Youth League showings.

Doak, just 17, was handed his senior debut for Liverpool against Derby County in the Carabao Cup under Jurgen Klopp.

Days later and Doak earned a spot on the Liverpool bench as Klopp's men beat Southampton 3-1.

The winger has also displayed his talents for Scotland at youth level and was on form again despite a 2-1 defeat to Iceland at Fir Park.

Doak teed up Max Johnston's opener and came close to a goal himself in the friendly - with The Scottish Sun reporting Nottingham Forest chiefs were in attendance.

It's claimed the Premier League side are keen on taking Doak on loan for the remainder of the season after his electric start to life down south.

However, Scotland under-21 boss admitted Doak had suffered a minor knock in the friendly.

He explained: “We're all very confident of the potential Ben has but he still has to go and do it. Credit to him, he did it again.

“He's disappointed he didn't score and he's on the treatment table after taking a sore one. But it's very exciting and there is a lot to look forward to.”

Commenting on Doak, Klopp said: "He's a really lively boy, a smart player. A good dribbler, fast and can use both legs. He's good.

"It was nice to watch him coming in. It's the next step, it's cool, he showed up."
