Tom Rogic has been prasied for his attitude after being left out of Australia's squad for the World Cup.

The former Celtic star is not Qatar-bound despite being a mainstay in the national team for many years.

The attacking midfielder moved to West Brom this season after spending nine-years at Celtic.

It has not gone swimmingly for the Aussie in the Championship, though.

Rogic has struggled for game time under new boss Carlos Corberan since he took over in October.

He's made just two substitute appearances in Corberan's four games in charge.

Explaining Rogic's absence previously, the Baggies boss said the ex-Celtic player "needed time to adapt".

This lack of game time ultimately saw Rogic left out of Australia's player pool for the World Cup, which starts on Sunday.

With USA striker Daryl Dike also overlooked in the West Brom ranks, it means they have no players heading to the tournament for the first time since 2002.

However, Corberan has praised both players for their response to the news.

He said: “The only thing I can tell you is I am watching a very good attitude in both players.

"I knew both players had the possibilities to go to the World Cup and maybe for the reason you say (not enough minutes) the national team didn’t decide to select them.

"I am watching players really, really focused in the situation we are having right now.”
