Footage has emerged of Celtic fans poking fun at Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst by singing his name after the Hoops' 2-1 victory against Ross County.

Earlier in the day, the Ibrox side drew with St Mirren in Paisley, meaning the Scottish champions' victory against the Staggies put them nine points clear at the top of the league table.

And the Bhoys supporters were clearly in a joyous mood after the weekend's results which means they now have a healthy lead over their Glasgow rivals as top-flight football pauses for five weeks due to the World Cup break.

Ange Postecoglou's side are jetting off to Australia during the shutdown, where they will play two friendlies as part of the Sydney Super Cup.

And the 57-year-old made clear the club have been planning for this gap in the domestic schedule.

"The break is the break," he said.

"It is not new. We have known about it, and it is not something that has sprung up.

It has been part of our planning. Our pre-season was planned around the fact we are going to have really big fixture congestion.

"Our recruitment is the same in terms of having a strong squad. What is important for us is the fact that we have got to this point in a strong position.

"We are going to Australia for a week, the boys will have some time off, and then we will be away to Portugal."

When they return, Celtic will be looking to build on their points tally even more as they attempt to win back-to-back titles.
