Everything that Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou said to BT Sport after the Champions League 1-1 draw with Shakhtar Donetsk that ended the Hoops European adventure this season...

Can you start to sum up that 90 minutes?

It was a tight game. It was a typical Champions League game. There was a lot on the line for both clubs. We got in front and were pretty much in control and then we got caught on the counter. We have a chance with Kyogo and we missed and they have a chance and they missed. It was just a tight, typical Champions League game and we are disappointed we could not get the result we wanted.

It was a similar story to the games we have seen before what needs to change for that to be translated into something else?

It's just experience and continuing to play at this level. That's all it is. There is no magic formula. It is all about experience and continually striving to improve. The boys are in there disappointed as they are flat and it shows where our ambitions lie as we want to make an impact in this competition. It is our first time here in five years and we've fallen short.

The European adventure is over for this season is it a bit too early or have you got an idea of the lessons that you have learned from this campaign and how you can implement them and get that experience?

I think there are some areas we have fallen short in and we need to improve. Again it is not anything that can happen very quickly. This is where we want to get to as that is where our ambitions lie and we want to be a Champions League football club and that only happens with continual presence in this competition.

How do you measure progress?

By performances, I said before there has not been a game where we have not been competitive and that is where you measure it. If we were outplayed in every game and never in the contest, it would be easier to say we need to do a lot of work. In every game we have had we have been in them and moments have cost us.

The next step is clearly trying to win the league again to get back here and put those things you have learned into practice, isn't it?

Yes. That's exactly what I mean. We must be in this competition every year if we want to make an impact. You can't go five years without being in it and then expect to compete and make an impact at this level. That is our task and that is our challenge and that is what I mean by becoming a Champions League football club, its to be there every year.
