CELTIC legend Scott Brown was dealt a Fleetwood sucker-punch yesterday by a familiar face in Jack Aitchison.

The Parkhead hero watched his side dealt a cruel 90th minute blow with record-breaker Aitchison netting the winner for Barnsley.

Aitchison was a record-breaker at Parkhead while Brown was at the club as he became the youngest-ever goalscorer at 16 years and 71 days old.

The striker netted in a 7-0 win over Motherwell in his Celtic debut, and was on hand to fire home for Barnsley yesterday.

The forward climbed off the bench to hit a last minute winner and condemn former team-mate Brown's Fleetwood side to a second defeat of the season.

It leaves Brown's men 15th in the English League One table with two wins, two losses and six draws so far.

On the result, Brown told the Fleetwood Town club website: “Losing by a last-minute goal is always hard. We managed the second half very well. We tried to play on the counter with some pace as well.

“We put Joe [Garner] on to be a bit more direct than what we’re used to. A draw would have been a fair result.

“As an overall performance from the lads, they worked extremely hard, and they always try to listen at half-time. I thought their understanding of the shape was very good.”

“As I said to the lads, it’s horrible losing last minute but they gave everything with their effort, they always give us 100%, but final third, a little bit of quality was maybe what we were missing today.

"We had a couple of good chances but neither of them could hit the back of the net."
