Celtic loanee Albian Ajeti missed Sturm Gratz's 6-0 defeat to Feyenoord in the Europa League through injury.
The striker, who has struggled to make an impact at the Hoops over two seasons, was sent to the Austrian club in a bid to revitalise his career.
However, injury has curtailed his involvement so far - although that meant the 25-year-old did avoid Sturm's 6-0 drubbing at the hands of Group F leaders Feyenoord.
So far, he has played three matches for his new side but it now seems he will spend some time on the sidelines with the club confirming the length of time he will be out "remains to be seen".
Ajeti was signed for the Hoops from West Ham in 2020 to partner Odsonne Edouard and made a great start scoring five goals in his first six games.
Injuries struck, however, and he only added one more strike before the end of that season.
He was given a run at times by Ange Postecoglou last year when Kyogo Furuhashi and Giorgos Giakoumakis were both injured but failed to take his opportunity.
The last competitive match he played for the Bhoys was against Real Betis in December, where he limped off in the first half with a hamstring problem.
