An injury update has been given on Celtic defender Carl Starfelt by manager Ange Postecoglou.
The Sweden international limped off after hurting his knee during the Hoops' 4-0 win over rivals Rangers.
It has come at a desperately unlucky time for the 27-year-old ahead of Real Madrid travelling to Parkhead for a glamour first match of the Bhoys' Champions League group stage.
The Celtic boss did reveal that the injury is not as serious as originally thought but that the centre-back will spend a spell on the sidelines.
"At the weekend, Carl Starfelt hurt his knee," he said.
"We do not have a full diagnosis, but it is nothing too serious. However, it will only keep him out for a couple of weeks."
The former Yokohama F Marinos boss also revealed that Kyogo Furuhashi is in contention to play a part in the game.
He picked up a shoulder injury against Rangers but did train with his teammates ahead of the tie versus Carlo Ancelotti's men.
Postecoglou continued: "Kyogo obviously hurt his shoulder, but he trained this morning and is available.
"I will make a decision whether he plays or not.
"In terms of him doing everything in training, he was fine."
