Jordan Larsson has found his next club, according to reports.

The Swede has been linked with the Hoops throughout the transfer window. However, he now appears to be on his way to the newly promoted Bundesliga side Schalke.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano announced the news on Twitter to his several million followers.

He tweeted: "Schalke have reached an agreement in principle to sign Jordan Larsson on a free transfer. Deal set to be done as Rouven Schröder strongly wanted Larsson, big effort.

"Schalke Larsson expected in Germany next 24 hours with agent Hasan Cetinkaya to finalise deal - medical next."

The Hoops reportedly turned down the chance to speak to the 25-year-old, son of Parkhead legend Henrik.

Larsson joined Spartak Moscow in 2019 for £4million and scored 22 goals in his first two seasons with the Russian outfit.

He then became a free agent after getting sent on loan to AIK Stockholm due to the country's invasion of Ukraine.
