CELTIC are set to sign German centre-back Moritz Jenz from FC Lorient, according to French reports.

The defender has been heavily linked with a move to Glasgow this summer after dropping down the pecking order at the Ligue 1 club.

Jenz, 23, joined Lorient from Swiss side Lausanne-Sport in 2021 signing a five-year deal but is now reportedly set to join Celtic.

The centre-back - who also played for Fulham in his youth career - will reportedly head to Celtic in a bid to "revive his young career".

French outlet L'Equipe reports Jenz is expected to bounce back at Celtic following disappointment at Lorient.

It's claimed Jenz is not thought to be part of Lorient boss Regis Le Bris' plans with a deal to be sanctioned to allow him the move away.

However, the nature of the switch for Jenz to head to Parkhead has not yet been agreed, L'Equipe reports.

It comes after Herald and Times sport revealed Celtic interest in the defender before his switch to the French top flight last year.
