CELTIC remain in talks over personal terms to sign Jota as Benfica look to finalise outgoing transfer deals, according to reports.

The Portugese winger made a huge impact in his loan spell at Parkhead with the club keen on a full-time move.

Celtic are thought to have a £6.5million transfer clause as part of their loan deal with Benfica.

And Jota's parent club are reported to be keen on finalising transfer dealings out of the club to aid their own summer transfer plans.

Portugese outfit Record claim Benfica have made outgoing transfers a priority with Jota part of an outgoing players list.

The club are also thought to be ready to allow Everton and Gabriel to leave the club before doing their on business on the signing front.

Ange Postecoglou previously confirmed his hope to land both Cameron Carter-Vickers and Jota on permanent deals after successful loan spells last term.

US international Carter-Vikcers finalised a move to Parkhead last week, with a move for Jota widely expected to go ahead.

Speaking before the summer window, Postecoglou explauned: “We are in discussions with them obviously and, as I have said all along, with these kind of things it’s never a simple process.

“But both had unbelievable years for us and been outstanding contributors and both are really happy here. Our intent is to try and keep them at our football club, but these things need a point where all parties agree.

“I am hopeful we will get to that point, but at this point we are not quite there yet.”
