GUS POYET has backed Celtic star Giorgos Giakoumakis to improve an already impress goal return at Celtic.
The Greek striker enjoyed a superb debut season in Scotland, as he finished the Premiership's top scorer. He bagged 17 goals in all competitions.
And new Greece boss Poyet reckons the 27-year-old can get hit even better heights in the new campaign.
He said: “We have Giakoumakis who claimed the Golden Boot in Scotland.
“That is not a small thing for any striker.
“We have to see where he can reach in his career.
“It is very good to have players who play at the highest possible level.”
Giakoumakis started for Greece in their 1-0 win over Northern Ireland in Thursday's Nations League tie.
