Every word Ange Postecoglou said to Premier Sports after the game.

Obviously not the result you came here for how do you reflect on that today?

Obviously it's hugely disappointing for us. It was a tight game, a typical semi-final. Both teams had moments and when it fell in extra time they took their chances and ended up winning.

Your first group of substitutions really had an impact. Did you feel the momentum of the match headed your way at that point?

Like I said it was a tight game, we had a chance we hit the crossbar to make it 2-0 and could’ve put the game away. It’s just the nature of these games, semi-finals they’re always tight, there’s always moments where things can change and unfortunately couldn’t see it through.

Would you say your team was at their best today?

It was a tight game I don’t think either side really dominated for great periods. That’s the nature of the semi-final. There’s a lot at stake and they tend to be games where people are afraid to make mistakes and it ends up being a bit of an arm wrestle and as I said we just didn’t have enough to get it over the line.

Liel Abada, Maeda went off. Can you give us an update on how they’re doing?

Yeah, Liel I think just cramped up he hasn’t played for a while. Maeda just ran himself into the ground. James Forrest put on some extra legs but apart from that I’m not sure everyone else seems ok.

Is disappointment the overriding emotion? Is it difficult to be critical of your players given what they’ve achieved?

It’s not about being critical. You can be disappointed but not be critical. It’s just a disappointing day for us. It was an opportunity for us to get to a final but you can’t fault the players. It was a really tight game, they took advantage of their moments and we didn’t.
