ANGE POSTECOGLOU has created an animal with his Celtic team, reckons former player Kris Commons.

And the ex-Scotland international reckons if the Hoops turn up for Sunday's derby then it could be "the final nail in the coffin" for Rangers' hopes of retaining the title.

Commons lifted five titles with Celtic during his six years at Parkhead.

He reckons Rangers can be exploited by Postecoglou and his side at the weekend.

He wrote in the Daily Mail: "It's not just the fact that Celtic would go six points clear. There are a few different things you have to consider in all of this.

"It's the psychological damage they could inflict on Rangers if they were to beat them on their own patch on the back of that Celtic Park annihilation.

"There's also the fact that Rangers are still juggling their domestic ambitions with trying to make further progress in the Europa League.

"Even beyond next week's game, I still feel there's a vulnerability to this Rangers team domestically and I sense that they could drop more points from now until the end of the season.

"I don't get that same impression from Celtic at the moment. They look extremely slick and well-drilled. Postecoglou has created an animal.

"If they do go on and become champions, I feel it would rank as one of the sweetest league titles in Celtic's history, given the shambles the club were in last summer.

"You have to go back to September 2019 for the last time they won in Govan. But there's no doubt they will be confident of ending that run on Sunday.

"Given the way Ange Postecoglou's side battered Rangers in the 3-0 win at Celtic Park in early February, they will fancy their chances of dishing out more punishment.

"That was a really special night for the fans under the lights. In the fullness of time, I think we'll look back at that result as the game which changed the momentum in this season's title race.

"Celtic will travel to Ibrox looking for a win which would effectively kill off Rangers' title chances.

"I firmly believe that victory would put the final nail in the coffin."
