MARK WILSON has hailed James Forrest after his man of the match display for Celtic against Livingston yesterday.

The Scotland international grabbed his first goal of the season and was a constant threat throughout the 90 minutes.

Forrest has struggled with injuries this term but Wilson has pinpointed the winger, along with captain Callum McGregor, as key figures as the season enters it's final stage.

He told Sky Sports: "You need players who know what it's like at the business end of the season when the pressure really piles on.

"James Forrest and Callum McGregor are two that have been there over the course and have done it. When you've got a player [Forrest] like that at the top end of the pitch, it's certainly going to boost your chances of getting over the line.

"I think he'll be disappointed but he's got Abada playing in front of him, so it's difficult when he's scoring goals and creating assists.

"He'll be desperate to get into that starting eleven, when he's given the opportunity, to contribute like he did on Sunday. He'll be a huge player for Celtic in this run in."

On the victory at Livingston he added: "I'm sure every Celtic fan dreaded this trip to Livingston. The dangers they've brought Celtic not just this season but the past fifteen seasons!

"I think the last time Celtic won there I was involved in that. It shows you how long ago that was.

"Ange Postecoglou made changes and they were important. They rolled up their sleeves.

"They knew the danger they were going to face and dealt with them incredibly well."
