CELTIC boss Ange Postecoglou has been named Scottish Premiership Glen's Manager of the Month for February.

The Parkhead manager followed up his January award with another of the monthly gongs after an impressive February where Celtic moved top of the table.

Postecoglou's side kicked off the month with a huge 3-0 win over Rangers in front of a packed Celtic Park before away victories at Motherwell and Aberdeen.

Celtic then triumphed over Dundee at home before taking a share of the points from Easter Road in a goalless draw with Hibs.

Postecoglou hailed his staff and players for the award as he saluted the "real collective effort" in February.

Speaking after receiving the Glen's award, he said: “We are delighted again to receive this award - but once again we receive it as a group.

"It is something which reflects our real collective effort in delivering positive performances and results for our fans.

“We have been able to find some real consistency again across the past month, being patient in games against tough opponents and trusting ourselves through our play to reach our goals, something I have been really pleased with and something we will strive to continue.”

Colin Matthews, CEO of Glen’s owner the Loch Lomond Group, said: “Celtic have had another great month, with Postecoglou’s side maintaining their first-place league position with a series of impressive victories throughout February.

“Ange’s impact on the team has been clear, from the side’s attacking qualities to their second-half resilience, making him a worthy winner of the Glen’s Manager of the Month award.

"So for the third time this season, congratulations to him and his team. We hope to see this momentum continue.”
