CELTIC duo Albian Ajeti and Vasilis Barkas could be on the verge of leaving Celtic this month, according to reports.

It is said that FC Basel are considering a late offer for the striker, with Barkas could be headed for Sweden.

The pair have struggled to hold down reuglar spots in the first team, with the outcasts both joining in 2020 under Neil Lennon.

Ajeti was signed from West Ham for a fee of around £4.5million, while Barkas arrived for £5million.

Swiss striker Ajeti had been given a second chance under Ange Postecoglou, making 17 appearances so far this season and netting three times.

But with the signings of Johnny Kenny and Daizen Maeda, on top of summer recruits Kyogo and Giorgos Giakoumakis, seems to have pushed Ajeti firmly out of the picture.

According to Blick, former club Basel are reportedly weighing up an approach for the attacker, with their top scorer Arthur Cabral set to leave before the end of the month.

Meanwhile, Greek outlet Sports Room claim an unnamed Swedish side hope to seal a loan for Barkas in the coming days.
