MATT O'RILEY is reportedly on his way to Celtic to complete a medical ahead of a £1.5million switch.

The MK Dons ace has been linked with a number of moves to the English Championship but is claimed to have decided on a transfer for Parkhead.

The attacking midfielder, 21, is now reportedly making his way to Glasgow to finalise a switch and sign a long-term deal at Celtic.

The Daily Record report that O'Riley has "spoken at length" to Ange Postecoglou ahead of agreeing a move to Scotland.

And the report claims O'Riley could even be registered in time for Celtic's Scottish Cup clash with Alloa at the weekend.

Should the playmaker sign terms at Celtic he would become Ange Postecoglou's fifth signing this month after Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate, Yosuke Ideguchi and Johnny Kenny sealed moves to Parkhead.

The Celtic boss had been keen on midfielder Riley McGree, but pulled out of talks as the player decided his future was elsewhere and agreed a Middlesbrough move.

Explaining the McGree scenario, Postecoglou said: “I had a discussion with him and then he obviously decided he wanted to take an opportunity elsewhere, which is fine. It wasn’t really anything too drastic for us."
