CELTIC are closing in on the permanent signing of Jota with a deal 'on the brink' of being announced, according to reports.
The Portuguese winger has been in fine form since arriving on loan from Benfica in his homeland, scoring eight goals and providing six assists in all competitions, prompting Parkhead chiefs to move to tie the 22-year-old to the club.
A future fee of around £6million is believed to be inserted into Jota's contract and the Glasgow giants are keen to activate it before other clubs come calling for the wide player's signature.
According to the Daily Record, negotiations between Celtic and Benfica are reaching a conclusion after progress was made over the last few days - with the transfer 'close to completion'.
