CELTIC are set to receive a second offer from Udinese for Stephen Welsh, according to a report.
The Serie A outfit have already had one bid knocked back by the Parkhead side for the talented defender.
However, the Scottish Sun say the Italians are set to return with a second offer.
Their initial loan bid, with an option to buy was seemingly rejected by the Hoops.
The Celtic Park side are believed to be in no rush to sell the 21-year-old.
They are said to be keen to continue developing their academy product by giving him more first team minutes.
But Udinese remain keen on the Scotland U21 international.
Cameron Carter-Vickers and Carl Starfelt are Ange Postecoglou's first choice centre-backs.
Christopher Jullien's return from injury could also potentially hamper Welsh's progress, with the competition for places certainly increased with his re-emergence.
He signed a new four-year deal last year.
