LEIGH GRIFFITHS could be on his way back to Parkhead with loan club Dundee reportedly 'deeply unimpressed' with the striker's contribution at Dens Park this season.
The former Scotland internationalist arrived on a season-long deal on deadline day in August and has made 14 appearances in all competitions, scoring twice.
According to the Scottish Sun, the Tayside club have the option to cut the 31-year-old's spell at the club short - but it can only be activated this month.
The report adds that Tim Keys and John Nelms - Dundee's owners - are 'deeply unimpressed' with Griffiths.
However, a lack of options at centre-forward could save Griffiths' Dundee career.
Jason Cummings' time at the club looks all but over after the striker was disciplined by manager James McPake for attending a live show last month and being unable to train the following day.
Cillian Sheridan is another option but a ruptured Achilles injury looks set to keep the Celtic academy graduate out of action for the foreseeable.
As it stands, McPake currently has two centre-forwards available for selection - Danny Mullen and Alex Jakubiak.
