ANGE Postecoglou faces some massive decisions ahead of Sunday's League Cup final.

Injury worries continue to plague Celtic, with doubts over the availability of key men such as Kyogo Furuhashi and James Forrest.

In recent weeks such concerns have prompted the manager to shuffle his deck and play more players out of position - think Josip Juranovic at right wing, David Turnbull through the middle and Liel Abada up front.

There is no margin for error in a final though - so who will Postecoglou select to take on Hibernian at Hampden? Will there be any shock inclusions? What about a surprise return?

Big calls will be made about key personnel ahead of the trip to Hampden.

The biggest consideration that Ange Postecoglou will face is just how to set up in a forward sense given the continued injury issues he has in that department.

The middle three tend to pick themselves with the real headaches coming further ahead.

Taking chances and being clinical when they are created will be key for Celtic.

And while there may be a temptation for a shock return for Kyogo Furuhashi, the likelihood will be that if there is any dubiety about the hamstring pull suffered by the Japan international a fortnight ago that he will not be risked.

That may require a shuffling of the pack and a big afternoon for Liam Scales, who could be in to help lead the attack. Liel Abada could start through the middle with Scales on the left and Josip Juranovic in a more advanced forward role.

Similarly, it may mean a return to left-back for Greg Taylor with Anthony Ralston surely keeping a firm hold of the right-back berth.

Alison's team: Hart; Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Starfelt, Taylor; McGregor, Rogic, Turnbull; Juranovic, Abada, Scales.

Despite the injury woes there are still a couple of interesting questions in terms of who misses out.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Ange Postecoglou does end up playing one of the main forward trio but, on the assumption they are all out, I think Liel Abada deserves to stay through the middle.

As such, I expect Mikey Johnston to return to the left-wing berth and Josip Juranovic to continue wide right. The latter, in particular, is not the ideal scenario given his struggles there against Ross County but, frankly, you could make the argument he won't be in the team otherwise.

Which brings us to the defence - Anthony Ralston is surely nailed on at right-back while first-choice left-back Greg Taylor was rested in Dingwall, suggesting he'll be back in with the unenviable task of shackling Hibs dangerman Martin Boyle.

In midfield, too, there is a question mark. Nir Bitton has been going through something of a renaissance in his natural position but, with David Turnbull unlikely to return to his stint at centre forward and Tom Rogic in scintillating form, the Israeli may well have to take a seat on the bench with Callum McGregor sitting deepest.

Sean's team: Hart; Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Starfelt, Taylor; McGregor, Rogic, Turnbull; Juranovic, Abada, Johnston.

Trying to second guess Ange Postecoglou is difficult but the key to success in this encounter could lie in the wide areas.

That's why I am taking the manager to deploy man of the moment, Anthony Ralston, in a role further up the field.

Ralston is no stranger to scoring and setting them up this season having notched five goals and five assists. He will supply a better quality of cross than Josip Juranovic did in Dingwall as well as getting himself in there to grab any goal chances that come his way.

Liel Abada will be the centre forward and, if the delivery is bang on the money, then he can profit. I can also see young Owen Moffat on the left wing to provide further ammunition from the wide areas.

The backline will see Joe Hart occupy his normal position and, as a result of Ralston's forward role, I fully expect Juranovic to occupy the right-back berth with Greg Taylor on the left and the centre-back pairing of Cameron Carter-Vickers and Swede Carl Starfelt.

In midfield, Israeli Nir Bitton will miss out in favour of the tried-and-tested triumvirate of Callum McGregor, David Turnbull and Tom Rogic.

Tony's team: Hart; Juranovic, Carter-Vickers, Starfelt, Taylor; McGregor, Turnbull, Rogic; Ralston, Abada, Moffat.
