CELTIC are entering an important 10 game stretch between now and January 2 which could go a long way to defining their season.

First on the agenda is high-flying Hearts at Parkhead. Robbie Neilson's men landed a devastating blow on Ange Postecoglou's first league match back in July but came a cropper when the sides met a couple of weeks later in the League Cup.

The Hoops will be out to round off this early-season trilogy with a win - but who will start the match?

Sean Martin and Tony Haggerty have a think...

This is a difficult match to kick off the 10-game countdown to the winter break.

Last time Celtic played Hearts, they lined up with Joe Hart in goal behind a back four of Anthony Ralston, Stephen Welsh, Carl Starfelt and Greg Taylor.

It is likely Cameron Carter-Vickers and Josip Juranovic for the latter two will be the only swaps from then to now, with the dangerous Hearts flanks making it a big night for the full-backs in particular.

Callum McGregor, David Turnbull and Tom Rogic made up the midfield three and it could well be the same again this time if the Aussie is fit to start.

However, if it's to be a bench role for him, Nir Bitton could return or James McCarthy may continue in there after a positive showing against Aberdeen.

After a match used as an impact sub it's time to reinstate James Forrest to his right-wing berth, while Kyogo Furuhashi and Jota remain undroppable (or, rather, un-restable) for now.

Sean's team: Hart; Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Welsh, Juranovic; Bitton, McGregor; Forrest, Turnbull, Jota; Kyogo.

The need to keep winning Premiership matches is great. With that in mind, I don't see Postecgolou tinkering too much with Thursday's line-up to face Hearts as he knows he has to field his strongest side in order to keep churning out winning results.

However, I do feel that he will make two changes to the starting side that defeated Aberdeen 2-1 on Sunday.

The return of twinkle-toed Australian Tom Rogic will be a welcome one for the Celtic boss. I think that the Wizard from Oz will come into the engine room in place of James McCarthy in order to give the midfield a creative spark and attacking threat.

Rogic was hitting some blistering form before he left the field during Celtic's 3-1 League win at Easter Road as he ripped the other half of Edinburgh apart that night. Postecgolou will no doubt be hoping for more of the same from his compatriot this time round.

James Forrest will also start in place of off-the-boil Israeli wide man Liel Abada. There is pace, craft and guile in abundance from Forrest, Kyogo and the in-form Jota.

That trio could prove to be a potent weapon for the hosts in this one and help Celtic put the men in maroon to the sword.

Tony's team: Hart; Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Welsh, Juranovic; Turnbull, McGregor, Rogic; Forrest, Kyogo, Jota.
