CELTIC have an immediate chance to put the end of their nine-match unbeaten run behind them when Aberdeen visit Parkhead on Sunday afternoon.

The Dons arrive in the east end of Glasgow sitting eighth in the table following a poor start to the campaign which has seen them pick up just two wins and a draw in the 10 games since the transfer window shut.

Three solid results on the trot - against Hearts, Hibs and Rangers - failed to spark a prolonged run of form and Stephen Glass takes the Reds to Paradise having lost two in a row with no goals scored.

Ange Postecoglou does not have such concerns after a streak of seasonal importance, but he does have injury concerns after Nir Bitton's enforced withdrawal against Bayer Leverkusen.

The manager hinted in the build-up to that game that Tom Rogic could play a part against the Dons while Kyogo Furuhashi, Jame Forrest and Jota were all taken off early in Germany.

Who will Postecoglou choose to try to kick-start another winning run? Sean Martin and Tony Haggerty take a look...

Sean Martin

Aberdeen? At home? With Tom Rogic returning to fitness, you say? Ach, why not.

The Australian midfielder has haunted the Dons a few times over the years so who better to make his comeback against? That it could give Nir Bitton a rest after his injury midweek is an added boon. If Bitton is fit to start after all? Well, maybe Turnbull takes a turn warming the pine.

Elsewhere the only other main decision will be if Carl Starfelt is ready for a starting XI return. If so, Stephen Welsh could drop back out.

Further forward, the fact all three of James Forrest, Jota and Kyogo Furuhashi were substituted early against Leverkusen suggests they'll all start - a judgement likely made easier by their replacements contributing very little in Germany.

Sean's team: Hart; Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Welsh, Juranovic; McGregor, Turnbull, Rogic; Forrest, Kyogo, Jota.

Ange Postecoglou may be forced into making some changes at Celtic Park.

The injury to Nir Bitton in midfield could not have come at a worse time - just as the Israeli looked as though he was hitting some sort of stride in the engine room.

Having said that it may well leave the door open for Tom Rogic to make his long-awaited return to the fold. Postecoglou may also be tempted to throw Carl Starfelt back into first-team action but, either way, the need to continue to rack up the domestic points is massive.

The back five seem to pick themselves these days and I believe it will be a straight shoot-out between Stephen Welsh and Starfelt for the centre-back role next to Cameron Carter-Vickers. If the Swede is fully fit then he gets the nod.

In midfield, Rogic will replace Bitton and the front three will stay the same.

Postecoglou will be desperate to utilise home advantage and he will demand that his Celtic side get firing on all cylinders once again.

Tony's team: Hart; Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Starfelt, Juranovic; McGregor, Rogic, Turnbull; Forrest, Kyogo, Jota.
