CELTIC have been linked with a possible move for Derby County full-back Lee Buchanan.

The Hoops have struggled to name a regular in the left-back position this term and it's reported that Buchanan could be on the shopping list to fill the role.

The defender, 20, was previously touted for a move to Celtic Park in the summer with Nottingham Forest also interested.

And it's reported the Hoops have continued to track Buchanan over recent months.

The Scottish Sun now report that Hoops scout Mick Doherty was sent to watch the defender last week.

Finding another left-back would no doubt bring a sigh of relief to Ange Postecoglou with Greg Taylor sidelined for months.

It's not been an easy position to fill with injured Taylor, Boli Bolingoli, Adam Montgomery, Josip Juranovic and Liam Scales all having been deployed at left-back.

It's claimed that Derby may sell Buchanan in the next transfer window, however he was reportedly ruled too expensive for Forest in the summer.

The full-back has so far made 13 appearances for the Championship side the season.
