ODSONNE EDOUARD made more effort on his Crystal Palace debut than he did during the whole of last season at Celtic.
That's according to former Parkhead great Frank McAvennie.
The Frenchman scored a brace in a fleeting Palace showing, coming off the bench for just ten-minutes as they beat Tottenham at Selhurst Park.
But Macca believes this shows Edouard's lack of effort last season, as he also took aim at Kris AJer for not wanting to be at the club during their failed ten-in-a-row bid.
He reckons Lennon would have been better off shipping players out of Parkhead who wanted a move elsewhere.
The ex-Scotland star told Football Insider: "Look at Edouard in that first Palace game.
“When he made his debut, he did more in 20 minutes than he did for Celtic last season.
“I could see that desire back, that wasn’t there last season.
“Ajer wanted to go. Lennon should have let them go.
“Now, they have got their moves.”
